Black Diamond Suspension Lift Kits - 1941-86 Jeep CJ
1941 to 1975 models use press-fit, steel encased rubber spring eye bushings; they work best on these applications. Polyurethane spring eye bushings are used on all other models. New U-bolts with self-locking hardware are provided. We recommend our dropped pitman arm for 1976 to 1986 models. We also offer steering stabilizers, 1", 2" and 3" body lifts, adda- leaf kits, extended-length Department of Transportation (DOT) approved rubber brake hoses, replacement polyurethane bushing kits and AT Shock Absorbers.
All Jeep CJ series vehicles use the same basic suspension design; solid axles front and rear suspended by leaf springs positioned below the axles. Black Diamond is world renown for Jeep lift systems, due in no small part to our leaf spring designs. Black Diamond springs have soft spring rates that give you full suspension articulation and unbeatable ride quality. The individual leaf plate ends are tapered, and anti-friction pads positioned at the leaf tips where friction is greatest. The springs also feature double-wrapped eyes (military wraps) for exceptional durability and increased safety.
Black Diamond suspension products are specifically designed to perform in the most demanding off road conditions. We also take pride in our products' on road performance and ride characteristics. We ensure an extraordinarily high level of product quality by using computer-modeled lift system brackets and hardware that is first laser cut, then welded-out in CNC machined assembly fixtures. Black Diamond coil and leaf springs are designed with durability and drivability in mind. Most Black Diamond leaf springs feature double wrapped spring eyes (military wraps) and polyurethane eye bushings. Also, polyethylene anti-friction pads positioned between each leaf plate are standard on most applications. With a Black Diamond performance suspension you'll enjoy superior offroad articulation, and a comfortable ride in a suspension package that will last a lifetime... guaranteed.
